We are seeking a Sr. Sales Engineer with significant solutions and operations experience to join our team. This hybrid role combines technical expertise in Salesforce solutions with strategic sales operations insights, ensuring our nonprofit clients receive comprehensive, effective solutions and that the sales process is organized and efficient both internally and externally.

Your responsibilities will focus in five primary areas: 1) development and review of estimates, proposals, and RFP responses to implement Salesforce functionality across the platform, 2) configuring and/or solutioning, 3) the development of overall Salesforce-based technical approaches and architectures in alignment with the business value of the project for the client. You will be the primary technical expert for the Business Development team 4) Identification and development of reusable assets to support BD team sales (i.e. demo orgs, estimators) and 5) Sales operations lead for the Business Development team.

 

Essential Functions

Job-Specific

Estimates, Proposals, RFPs
  • Develop and review estimates for implementing Salesforce functionality across the platform.
  • Ensure the accuracy of estimates and guarantee alignment with client needs.
  • Serve as the lead conduit to shepherd estimates, proposals, and SOWs through the review and approval process internally.
  • Lead collaboration internally with Delivery and other departments as needed to develop estimates, proposals, RFP responses, and SOWs.
  • Develop comprehensive Salesforce-based technical approaches and architectures, leveraging expertise to design optimal solutions for client requirements.
​​Technical Demonstrations
  • Configure Salesforce functionality for demonstrations and proof of concepts for prospective clients, showcasing the effectiveness and versatility of our solutions
  • Effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, fostering understanding and collaboration.

Sales and Solution Asset Development
  • Inform, develop and maintain reusable assets to support sales and GoToMarket efforts. Assets include demo orgs, estimators, technical contributions to marketing content, project offerings (in collaboration with Fionta’s delivery team)
Lead Sales Operations
  • Serve as the sales operations lead for the Business Development team, overseeing and optimizing sales processes to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including sales, marketing, and delivery to align strategies and ensure seamless integration of Salesforce solutions.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices related to Salesforce and sales operations, continuously enhancing knowledge and skills to drive innovation and excellence.

Essential Skills and Work Experience

A combination of at least 5 years of experience in Salesforce services consulting and sales operations. In addition, the following are critical skills required (or desired, where noted) to perform well in this position:
  • 5+ years of sustained, hands-on experience with Salesforce consulting is required
  • 5+ years of client-facing functional consulting and sales operations experience is required
  • Experience working in a sales capacity with Salesforce nonprofit and association industry clients is required
  • Strong technical proficiency in Salesforce platform, including configuration, customization, and integration capabilities is required.
  • Proficiency with software and tools such as Microsoft Office suite, Confluence, Jira, and Google Docs Editors office suite
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Experience managing and scaling existing client relationships with a focus on client success and retention required
  • Proven leadership skills, with experience in leading and guiding cross-functional teams to achieve common goals.

The base salary range for this role is $105,000-$140,000*
