The Senior Solution Engineer combines technical expertise in Salesforce solutions with strategic sales and solution operations insights, ensuring our nonprofit and association clients receive comprehensive, effective solutions and that the sales process is organized and efficient both internally and externally.

Your responsibilities will focus in three primary areas: 1) development of overall Salesforce-based technical approaches and architectures in alignment with the business value of the project for the client - you will be the primary technical expert for the Business Development team, 2) creation and review of estimates, proposals, and RFP responses to implement Salesforce functionality across the platform, and 3) identification and development of reusable assets to support BD team sales (i.e. demo orgs, estimators) and conducting demos as needed of Salesforce solutions.

Essential Functions:
Solution, Estimates, Proposals, RFPs
  • Define  solution/approach with a focus on business value and how we differentiate ourselves from our competition.
  • Develop and review estimates for implementing Salesforce functionality across the platform.
  • Ensure the accuracy of estimates and guarantee alignment with client needs.
  • Support the AE with getting  estimates, proposals, and SOWs through the review and approval process internally as needed
  • Lead collaboration internally with Delivery and other departments as needed to develop estimates, proposals, RFP responses, and SOWs.
  • Develop comprehensive Salesforce-based technical approaches and architectures, leveraging expertise to design optimal solutions for client requirements.
Technical Demonstrations
  • Configure Salesforce functionality for demonstrations and proof of concepts for prospective clients, showcasing the effectiveness and versatility of our solutions.
  • Effectively communicate complex technical concepts to  non-technical stakeholders, fostering understanding and collaboration
Sales and Solution Asset Development
  • Inform, develop, and maintain reusable assets to support sales and GoToMarket efforts. Assets include demo orgs, estimators, and  technical contributions to marketing content and project offerings (in collaboration with Fionta’s delivery team).
Lead Solution Operations
  • Serve as the solution operations lead for the Business Development team, overseeing and optimizing sales processes to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including sales, marketing, and delivery to align strategies and ensure seamless integration of Salesforce solutions.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices related to Salesforce and solution operations, continuously enhancing knowledge and skills to drive innovation and excellence.
  • In conjunction with the AEs, build effective relationships with the Salesforce team.
Essential Skills and Work Experience:
The following are critical skills required (or desired, where noted) to perform well in this position:
  • A combination of at least 3 years of experience in Salesforce services consulting and sales and solution operations.
  • 3+ years of sustained, hands-on experience with Salesforce consulting is required.
  • 3+ years of client-facing functional consulting and sales/solution operations experience is required.
  • Proficiency with software and tools such as Microsoft Office suite, Slack, and Google Docs Editors office suite.
  • Strong technical proficiency in Salesforce platform, including configuration, customization, and integration capabilities is required.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, fostering understanding and collaboration.
  • Proven leadership skills, with experience in leading and guiding cross-functional teams to achieve common goals.
  • Experience working in a sales solution capacity with nonprofit organizations or membership orgs and associations is desired.
  • Experience with nonprofit organization and associations business practices.
  • Certifications: Salesforce Certified Administrator, Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud Consultant
Work Location:
Fíonta is a remote first work environment, the individual in this position will spend the majority of the workday in front of their computer working from their home office. The individual is required to report to work (whether in office or remote) each day, unless otherwise arranged with their manager.

In this role you will also be expected to travel approximately 10 - 20 days per year for events and onsite meetings as needed.

The annual on target earnings (OTE) for this role is $175,000 which includes base salary and commission.*
